Room Blocks

We have reserved room blocks at two hotels in downtown Richmond.Both are super fun and are only a few blocks from one another!

Quirk Hotel

Quirk is a local Richmond gem with a super bright &amp; fun vibe. It has a great rooftop bar, a coffee counter in the lobby and a small art gallery featuring some great art right next door!

The Graduate Richmond

The Graduate has a very cool &amp; funky vibe. There is a great rooftop bar with a great view of the city and a library in the back of the lobby with a pool table and some space to just hang.(Bonus! You can also use Hilton points here!)

Other Recommended Accommodations

Hotels

There are several other great hotels around the Richmond area to stay in as well.These are a few others we recommend! The Jefferson HotelThe Jefferson is a historic hotel in the heart of downtown, with a very classic vibe and a great bar and restaurant. Linden Row InnLinden Row Inn is another great historic hotel downtown, with a great restaurant. The Courtyard Marriott- Scott’s AdditionLocated right on the edge of historic Scotts Addition and the Museum District. This is a great option that has both a fitness center and gym.

Airbnb & VRBO

There are some great options on both Airbnb and VRBO if you are looking to accommodate a larger group or just have a bit more space! If you choose to go this route the areas you’ll want to look for places in the Museum District (that will be the closest to our venue), or the Fan.

Accommodations

For getting to and from the wedding events we highly recommend guests use Uber or Lyft.For those who choose to drive there will be free parking at the VMFA in their parking garage with the option to leave your car overnight.We will providing an Uber code on the day of our wedding for return trips and for those who choose to leave their cars at the VMFA.

Transportation

Located in the middle of the city and the James River, Belle Isle is a great place to walk and wander. There are biking and walking trails around the whole island with hidden gems and great views of the city and river throughout.

If you are a fan of HBO's Gilded Age this one is for you :)Maymont is a 100 acre green space in the heart of Richmond which includes a Gilded Age Mansion and beautiful gardens. There is also a petting zoo and nature center where visitors can learn about local VA wildlife!

Stroll through Carytown and explore unique shops and restaurants. The best way we recommend to experience Carytown is just to walk!

This is one of our regular haunts, especially for trivia on Tuesdays! They have great burgers (Mal's favorite is "the Elvis" and Sam's is the "Cobra kai"), their fried oreos are also a must try!

Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint Richmond

Jardin is our favorite little wine bar, that offers a great wine selection (by glass or bottle), as well as a yummy selection of charcuterie, cheese, and small nibbles. Fun fact: Sam surprised Mal with both their families here after she proposed to celebrate!
